Cloak + Dagger

My New Years resolutions to myself were:
To stop smoking.
To seriously cut down on clothes shopping.
To stop buying shit celebrity gossip magazines.
I am ashamed to report, only one (and a bit) month in I have well and truly thrown the first two out of the window. My smoking ban lasted less than a week, and although I managed to resist sales shopping frenzy I caved in last week and had a little splurge. BUT IT ENDS NOW!
Here's a photo of my nice new cloak that I picked up on Saturday.

Headscarf from a vintage shop in Bristol. Cloak from Vintage Guru, Glasgow. Leggings from H&M. Shoes, Primarni originals.

Outfit Post

Something's been going wrong with blogspot lately - it will let me repost images from a URL, but not stuff I've uploaded from my own laptop. I dunno why this is, I've been using JPGs as normal. So I've had to hold fire with the updating and create a good old photobucket account so I can post stuff from there. LAME. I was going to do this outfit post on Thursday but you're getting it now instead. I thought it was quite an average outfit but I got quite a few compliments on it that day so whatdya know...

Jumper from a £3 shop in Manchester's Northern Quarter. Skirt from H&M. Boots inherited from mama Nova. Bag from Buzzcocks gig in Glasgow. I know my room needs a serious tidy - this was the least messy part so I used it as a background. The rest looks as though a kids birthday party has exploded all over it.

I don't have much in my life, but take it, it's yours.

I'm back, after a week of hectic times and internet silence. A lot has been going on and a lot WILL be going on; I will be uploading photos from Sandra's Divine Birthday Party (her John Waters themed 30th) and will try to get some pics of the music video shoot I'm doing today for She's Hit. This week I'm doing a photoshoot with Rosie Blake and more filming with Rachel Sharpe. It's going to be busy as hell but hopefully fun too. And I might find time to do a bit of uni work, maybe, one day............. who knows?

Les Garcons de Glasgow Offline

On Thursday night, style bloggers Les Garcons de Glasgow hosted another club event, this time at Stereo on Renfield Lane. With a friendly atmosphere, lil ol' me projected onto the walls, and great music provided by Kid Zipper (Menergy), Thunder Disco Club, and Matthew Craig from One More Tune/Cheap n Nasty, a ball was had by all.

Chicks Who Smoke

I was recently alerted to this blog, Chicks Who Smoke. It concerns exactly that - women smoking. Lots of sexy black and white snaps of it. A celebration of the insouciant act that is constantly (and tediously) vilified by most of the press these days. Proof that no matter how bad something is for you, if you look good while doing it then it just don't matter none.

Beast Couture

Last night I decided to debut the epaulettes I made, inspired by the costume worn by the Beast of Jersey.
The occasion was the fashion show I mentioned in my previous post - In the Company of Wolves, held at Sub Club on Jamaica Street.

Oskar & I on our way out.

We also decided to showcase our 'Finger of Glory' necklaces that I made, and our official Vile Bodies canvas bags and pin badges (you can glimpse them in the photo above).

The shoulders lasted the duration, drawing admiration from fellow fashion show attendees, abuse from drunks on Sauchiehall Street, and curiosity from passing policemen. Success.
